Offroam Phone Mount - Install and Product Review

 A good phone mount has become a must have in almost any car over the last few years. There are now hundreds of brands that make phone mounts for the Toyota 4Runner but it can be hard to find one that can take the abuse off-road while being simple enough for on road use. Luckily Offroam has made a phone mount with this functionality in mind with a handful of other phone mount options so you can find the mount that suits your needs. Today we are looking at their standard phone mount which we have been running in our flagship 4Runner build for the last few weeks.

Design

Offroam has designed one of the most simple but functional phone mounts for the 4Runner on the market. They did this while also using premium materials and avoiding the use of cheap plastics. This does come at a cost, the Offroam 4Runner Phone Mount does start at a price of $79.95 which is a higher price than other mounts but it is money well spent. There are few phone mounts on the market that beat Offroam in quality. Their use of stainless steel and a simple clamp design means that your phone will stay perfectly secure on the roughest of trails. 

Install

Installing the Offroam Phone Mount only takes a few minutes with its simple installation process.

First, take the phone mount base and slide it into the A/C vent on the center console of your 4Runner. Once you have slid the base into position, place take the provided hex key and begin to tighten the base until it fits snug on the center console of your 4Runner. 

Second, connect the phone mount arm to the ball on top of the base mount. After doing this take the phone mount and connect it to the other side of the phone mount arm. Once both sides are connected you can twist the knob on the phone mount arm clockwise to tighten it in place. 

Third, Now adjust the Offroam Phone Mount till it sits in a spot you are comfortable with and your phone mount is installed! 

Final Thoughts

The Offroam Phone Mount is one of my first recommendations for anyone looking for a phone mount for their 4Runner. It's simple designed paired with its easy installation makes this phone mount one of the best options on the market.
