Worked for 4 months

Worked for 4 months and then triggered all the check engine lights and trac mode. $80 at the mechanics later it was determined it was the gas cap. All has been well since I put the OEM gas cap back on. So now I'm out $80 + gas to get there and back, time at the shop, and the cost of the gas cap which is now sitting in a ziplock bag in the trunk.

Locking Gas Cap

Worked Great until it didn't. Been using for approximately 4 months, until this past weekend. Got a check gas cap message on my dash on Friday. Saturday message was gone, however, check engine and master warning light were on. Went to dealer for diagnosis... Gas Cap. I was completely happy with it for 4 months though!

Hello Tim. Thank you for your review. We have seen this before. Previous reasons for this code to be seen is the cap is not tightened down all the way or the item may be faulty. Hit up support and we are happy to send a replacement.

Great Customer Service.

Thank you for sending me a new GAS CAP after my previous review. The new CAP seems to be working well, hopefully it'll stay that way and not trigger any alerts.

Great Gas Cap!

Works as advertised and so far I haven't had any issues with alarms going off. I would highly recommend this item.

Triggered my GAS EVAP alert.

It was working fine for a little while, then all of a sudden it triggered my GAS EVAP alert system. I'm glad I kept my OEM gas cap and put that back on, I no longer get any alerts. My gas cap is faulty, that's a shame because I would like to be able to lock my gas cap.
