Should have bought them sooner.

When I first got my 2016 4Runner lat fall I immediately knew I needed to update the mirrors. My research led me to buying RAV4 mirrors, they fit perfectly and where better than stock, but still left a lot to be desired. When I saw the Spotter Mirrors they looked like the ones on my F250 work truck and those work. I ordered them right away and installed them upon arrival. Now the real question is why didn’t these mirrors come stock on the 4Runner? I recommend these to all 4Runner owners.

It works, easy to install, buy not best quality

The spotter mirror installation was pretty easy, I ordered the option with the blind spot indicator light. The casing material and connectors for this after-market mirror is not as good as the OEM mirror, and one of the pins for the wiring connector for the blind spot indicator light was loose. As a result, the first time I started up the car I got a warning light with the blind spot indicator disabled. Had to remove the mirror and re-seat the connector wire into the housing. It worked, but I wonder how long it will be before the wire comes loose again. It also does not fit as tightly into the side mirror housing as the OEM so I Wonder what effect water getting in behind the mirror will have on the electrical components. Don't toss you OEM mirror just in case.

Pretty much just pop out the old ones and pop in the new ones.
