Install is tricky but very much worth the price now that I can see while driving through a sunrise or sunset
The matte black does as it should. Deflects the sun bumping off of your fake and useless hood scoop. I’d say you’re gonna need a second pair of hands to help stretch this thing and get all the air bubbles out. It’s not easy to apply perfectly but it does one thing well with or without some air bubbles and that’s getting rid of the glare.
This vinyl is cut just right. The first vinyl arrived with some bends in the corner where is must have slide around during shipping. 4RL had the vinyl supplier drop ship me a new one that arrived in perfect condition. It does exactly what I needed it to do, eliminate the hood scoop glare when driving into a sun rise or sun set. Only warning I have for others, is that this is kind of a tricky install and my not be for everyone. The vinyl could easily get ruined if you are not careful.
Ever since I got my 4RUNNER I have hated driving at the certain time of evening where the sun bouncing off the Hood scoop would blind me. This is the perfect remedy. Wish I had seen this when I first got the 4RUNNER.
