Meso Customs Flip Fob

Love the product! I was looking for something to basically protect my key and this was a perfect solution. It’s a great product. The only reason why I gave it a 4 is because there’s a slight degree that the key gets caught at when flipping the key out. Other than that, perfect..

broke in 5 days, absolutely horrible product and should be removed

First off 70$ for a piece of plastic is very expensive but the least you expect is it to be robust. The key came off the cover within 5 days of using it. This was after I had to destroy the oem key to install this and spending 80$ to get the blank key cut. I should have listened to the previous reviews and regret buying this. Hope 4Runner lifestyle takes this down

Great but not perfect

After using this key fob for a little over a week, I have some thoughts about it. 1, yes, it is a tremendous upgrade from the OEM key fob. Making the key more compact just feels better in my pockets. However, the “plastic” feel to the fob feel cheap and unstable whenever I turn the key in the engine. I feel like it will eventually wear out and I will need to purchase another to replace this. My other thoughts on this are the plastic extensions that contact the insides of the fob are too long and contact the buttons too soon - unless you shave them down. I had to dremel the plastic pieces down. Otherwise, my whole neighborhood was wondering why my car alarm was randomly going off while I was trying to put the pieces together…. Lol There is definitely room for improvement because other flip fobs feel more solid than this one but it’s still an upgrade!

Good but needs refinement

I got the original in the mail and it had some minor defects that caused it to be misaligned between the two halves of the shell. Another issue is the retaining cross for the flip key immediately wore away causing it to not engage the spring. It also would not click into place the few times it did work. They sent a second as a warranty and the customer service was top notch. The new one was in much better shape but the key was still binding as it opened and closed. Using some wd40 I was able to fix that issue. Overall it’s a good product but definitely needs a slight redesign and I think it would be perfect
